In this week's blog, I will write and take you all a look inside my newest book. To give the readers an introduction of my characters and a final insight as to why I wrote the book, to begin with.
"Them Against Us" was not the original name of my book. I had a different name but I felt that it would give away the story too much. I wanted my book to have a deeper meaning to it. The story focuses on six foster children as the focal characters of my book. This book is not a children's book but an adult book with children as the main characters. One of the foster children is the most hated and distinguished child of them all.
Minefield and Clarkstown Massachusettes
Minefield is a city that is thirty minutes away from Clarkstown and is where the story first takes place. The fictitious city is small yet vibrant. It had communities like "Oakview Meadows" a suburban place, "The Quick Shop" and "Peaches Diner".
Clarkstown is another fictitious city that is near Salem and is also close to Minefield. The characters in the book often travel to both towns. Clarkstown has places like "Better Than Your Momma" a children's hospital called "Heavenly Angels" and "Burger Burger"
1) Mason- Is a brave twelve years old who is one of the last remaining of his tribe.

4) Pete- Loves and trusts many adults. he gets along well with his siblings.
5) Miguel- Another foster brother who is Hispanic and has a younger sister name Mary.
6) Mary- - Is a fun hyper girl who loves playing outside and with her brothers.
There are also other children that often visit the Roberts home. They are related to the foster parent. These two children love playing with foster children a lot and develop a really close relationship.
1) Grayson- Is around the same age as Dontay and Miguel. Often plays with Pete and Miguel the most.

These children all be in the same household keeping secrets playing it safe, plotting schemes, and holding secret meetings all while playing the sheep in the children's division system. Their ring leader, Mason, teaches them how to survive the foster care system. The children learn how underhand not only their cruel foster mother but the whole elite members of Clarkstown Massachusetts.
There are other characters too. I will mention only a few more these individuals play a crucial role in the book and are more prominent to the foster children.
Charlotte Roberts- Is the foster parent of the children. Is regarded as a caring parent but her secrets will be hidden forever.
Cory Brown- A hustler who does a lot to stay on top in the streets. He also has a soft spot for children.

The Secret Coven Society
There are many coven or secret societies. This book deals with one. In Clarkstown, there is an elite secret society that many prominent members gather. The elite members of the Clarkstown Society feature many members. the Randolfs being one of the wealthy families. Then you have others like the Thompsons, The Mackinsons, The Graves and more.
These are some of the characters that you will encounter in this book. The Foster children in Them Against US, meet and deals with many people. They have to learn how to adjust to their surroundings multiple times. The book deals with the settings of two towns linked together. Creating one of the most fictional conspiracies in the Child Protection Services.
The story finally, centers around certain days, and months because the characters view those days and months as significant importance.
Them Against Us gives one idea as to why that is.
